Dana, I want an Octagon Brock Lesnar reveals how he demanded his own octagon amid nervousn

It was in the year 2007 when Brock Lesnar debuted in MMA. He fought Min-Soo-Kim in his first fight and defeated him via KO to register his first MMA victory. 

He then got the chance to fight in UFC in 2008. Since then the fighter has been the world champion, retired, and currently is continuing his journey as a WWE superstar. 

Lesnar is the current WWE heavyweight champion and will be fighting against Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 38 this Sunday. The fight will be the main event bout for the second and final day of WrestleMania 38. 

Brock Lesnar was nervous before his UFC debut

Lesnar is an absolute crowd favorite. Fight fans love to see him fight. Be it in UFC, WWE, or any other promotion. His presence in the octagon certainly radiates that electrifying aura.  

But, shockingly that wasn’t the case for him. Recently, Brock revealed how he dealt with nervousness before his first UFC fight. While talking on The Pat McAfee Show, Lesnar said that he was nervous about stepping into the Octagon and wanted to get a feel for it before the big bout in Las Vegas. 

So, he convinced Dana White to get him an octagon ahead of his first fight against Mir. Brock said:

“It’s a different game, you know, entering the Octagon. And I’m telling you, you’ve got to be – like, you’ve got to be half bats*** crazy…Like when you go through the door, like, I built or ordered an Octagon so I could, didn’t have at first, like, jitters of getting in an Octagon. I’m like, ‘Dana, I want an Octagon’ and like, ah boom, [the UFC] shipped an Octagon. So I can fight in it and practice in it, you know?… But then you’re in front of 20,000 people and they shut the door and it’s like, ‘Ahhh’.”

It is interesting to see how a fighter who now sort of rules the whole WWE and did rule the UFC was so nervous before his debut that he had to practice in a real octagon.
