AEW and WWE are the two biggest pro wrestling companies in the world. Hence, fans always imagine a show where the two promotions are collaborating in some way. Speaking of that, AEW founder Tony Khan recently talked about this possibility.

In an interview on the Rich Eisen Show, the AEW CEO stated that it would be an amazing opportunity for the fans of professional wrestling to see the two promotions together. However, Tony Khan added that in order to set up such a huge event, there are a lot of business challenges that might hinder. Moreover, even though it is possible, the path towards it isn’t easy at all.

I would love if that were possible, I don’t know that it is, but it would be great if it was possible for the fans, I think that would be wonderful, but there are a lot of challenging business things in the world of pro-wrestling that I think would make that a very challenging thing to do.

If a WWE and AEW crossover happens someday, fans might witness some dream matches in pro wrestling. Clashes such as Will Ospreay vs. Seth Rollins, MJF vs. Roman Reigns, Kenny Omega vs. John Cena, and many more dream battles might be real. However, the possibility is incredibly low at the moment, keeping in mind that both companies never back down from taking shots at each other.

Tony Khan was asked if he could ever see a situation where we get a supershow between WWE and AEW:

Moreover, both promotions have been collaborating with a number of other companies. While AEW shares a strong relationship with NJPW and CMLL, WWE is also establishing an alliance with TNA, NOAH, and other small promotions. Only time will tell if WWE and AEW will come together at any point to deliver a historic event in professional wrestling.

Tony Khan talked about having Bryan Danielson in AEW

Bryan Danielson was a huge name who immediately arrived in AEW right after leaving WWE. His presence has been beneficial for the promotion as well as for Tony Khan, revealed by the latter in a bunch of interviews prior. He also talked about how it feels to have Danielson in the company and what’s next for him after his current contract eventually expires.

Speaking on the Rich Eisen Show, Khan said that this is the midst of the full-time career of the American Dragon. His contract will expire in August, and he will be hanging up his boots after that as a full-time star. However, he will be sticking with AEW for a long time even after that and will be providing necessary guidance behind the scenes.

Bryan hangs him up from full-time wrestling and at that point it's going to be a sad day for pro wrestling and for me personally but it's great to be able to have Bryan, that I can call and talk to or have in the locker room with us every week...I hope Bryan will stay here for the rest of his life and I know he's planning to stay with us for a long time going forward.

The founder of AEW also admitted that the day Bryan retires is going to be an emotional day for him. He went on to say, as a wisecrack, that he wanted the former WWE star to stay with AEW for the rest of his life. The 43-year-old star will be facing Swerve Strickland at AEW All In at Wembley Stadium next month, which many are considering the beginning of the end of his career.
