Top Journalist believes Novak Djokovic will now be more dangerous as he has nothing left to
Top Journalist Benoit Maylin has revealed that Novak Djokovic has nothing to prove after the Serbian claimed the singles gold medal at the Paris Olympics. The Serbian has broken several records in his career and will be hoping to do more after achieving a Career Golden Slam (winning all four major titles and the Olympic gold).
Djokovic has won only the Olympic gold medal this season, but he has claimed nearly every title on Tour throughout his career. The 37-year-old is the only player to have achieved a Career Golden Masters, having won all nine elite Masters tournaments. He now boasts 99 titles, including 24 Grand Slams and seven ATP Finals crowns.
Despite his numerous titles, Djokovic is still aiming for more. He has often reiterated his intention of winning 25 Grand Slams, which would make him the only player in the Open Era to achieve this feat. He has yet to surpass Roger Federer and Jimmy Connors in career title tallies. Federer won 103 titles before retiring in 2022, while Connors leads with 109 singles titles.
Djokovic, who is 37, will hope to play more and beat their records. Benoit Maylin believes that the Serbian is more dangerous now because he has nothing to prove to anyone again.
Djokovic will be all the more dangerous because he has nothing more to prove, because he has this thirst for competition in his blood, because he is not 37, he is 10 years younger, and because he still has three goals: to win a 25th Grand Slam, to beat Connors' record of 108 titles (109 in reality), he is at 99, and why not win a second gold medal in Los Angeles at 41. It seems impossible but that word does not exist in Novak Djokovic's vocabulary.Benoit Maylin said

Novak Djokovic withdraws from two ATP Masters 1000 events ahead of the US Open
Novak Djokovic has withdrawn from the Cincinnati Open, a few days after skipping the Canadian Open. While these two Masters tournaments are typically used by players as preparation for the US Open, Djokovic seems to have a different plan.
The 37-year-old won the Cincinnati Open last year by defeating Carlos Alcaraz and holds a 45-12 record at the event. This year, he has a 29-7 match record but has only secured the Olympic gold. After undergoing meniscus surgery two months ago due to a knee injury, Djokovic appears to be in good shape and is aiming to conserve his energy for the season-ending events.
He has already announced that he will compete at the Rolex Shanghai Masters in September, following the US Open. He is also currently sixth in the race to the ATP Finals in Turin, which are scheduled to take place from November 10 to 17.
