Viral sensation Hasbulla Magomedov has officially signed with the UFC as A FIGHTER

Publish date: 2024-07-21

There must be a dearth of people who haven’t heard the name Hasbulla. And that is despite the fact that the Russian doesn’t speak English.

However, that has not stopped his ascension to global stardom. What started as harmless jokes with his friends, has now catapulted the 20 year old to global stardom.

Because of his popularity, and his friendship with UFC icons Khabib Nurmagomedov and Islam Makhachev, Hasbulla Magomedov made a cameo last year at UFC 267, where Makhachev defeated Hooker in the first round.

Although the major headlines were dominated by Glover Teixeira and Islam Makhachev for their spectacular wins, Magomedov got a lot of attention as well. From playfully punching Daniel Cormier to headbutting Khabib in the octagon, the joyful internet persona had fans glued to him.

Now, it seems like his stardom has brought him yet another elusive benefit. In a post on Twitter, he announced, “The rumors are true. I have officially signed a deal to fight in the @ufc! Details will be revealed by the end of the year. Thank you to my team for making this dream a reality.“

Fans on Twitter rejoice at the news of Hasbulla’s arrival to the UFC

Within hours of the announcement, most of his merchandise on the UFC store had already been sold out. That is Magomedov’s pulling power at the moment.

The Dagestanis are feared by fighters the world over for their indomitable grappling ability. Seeing another Dagestani fighter get added to the roster, other fighters would have normally let out a sigh of exasperation.

Replies under his post are a testament to the massive excitement that his announcement has roused. The announcement also garnered a funny response from UFC heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou.

However, it is interesting that the young Russian has announced his arrival to the UFC as a fighter. There is no evidence of his training or ability in the sport. Additionally, he suffers from a rare genetic disease.

Regardless, Magomedov’s foray into the promotion will no doubt enthral fans, as the true nature of his involvement with the promotion will only be revealed later this year.
