Isabelle Butker is the wife of Kansas City Chiefs’s Harrison Butker. His most recent commencement speech at Benedictine College in Atchison, Kansas has turned heads.

“How many of you are sitting here now, about to cross this stage, and are thinking about all the promotions and titles you are going to get in your career?” he asked the women. “Some of you may go on to lead successful careers in the world but I would venture to guess that the majority of you are most excited about your marriage and the children you will bring into this world.”

Harrison said that Isabelle would be the “first to say that her life truly started when she began living her vocation as a wife and as a mother,” referring to his wife in particular. He went on to talk about her influence on his life.

“I’m beyond blessed with the many talents God has given me but it cannot be overstated that all of my success is made possible because a girl I met in band class back in middle school would convert to the faith and become my wife and embrace one of the most important titles of all — homemaker,” Harrison shared during his speech.

Meet Isabelle Butker, Harrison Butker Wife

Harrison Butker, a player for the Kansas City Chiefs, married Isabelle Butker in 2018, and the two became husband and wife.

They reportedly began dating in high school. When Harrison visited Isabelle while attending college in Memphis, he posted on Instagram sharing that they had been dating for “nearly four years.” Harrison, on the other hand, attended Georgia Tech to play football from 2013 to 2016.

Harrison referred to his partner as his “high school sweetheart” in an interview with the “Kansas City Mom Collective” podcast in January 2023. “A lot changes with Division I football, playing in the NFL, but she’s been by my side through everything.”

A month after Harrison was selected by the Carolina Panthers in the NFL Draft, he proposed to Isabelle. In September of that year, he signed a contract with the Chiefs.

“After almost 7 years of being best friends with this girl, I finally popped the question. From the first moments of our relationship, back in freshman year of high school, I always envisioned marrying you and raising a family together,” Harrison wrote via an Instagram post. “You push me to be a better man and are so patient and forgiving when I fall short. I am truly amazed at how God has worked in your life and in our relationship and pray we continue to learn and grow from each other. Can’t wait to see what our future holds together as a married couple! I love you Izzy.”

The pair tied the knot less than one year after getting engaged. On February 10, 2018, Isabelle and Harrison tied the knot in a customary ceremony at Saint Brigid Catholic Church in Georgia. After that, they hosted a reception in Roswell, Georgia’s Ivy Hall.

The Chiefs’ kicker Harrison kicked the game-winning field goal during Super Bowl LVII in February 2023, putting him in the spotlight, but the Butkers have kept their family out of the public eye.

Harrison And Isabelle Butker Kids

Even though Harrison and Isabelle Butker keep their private life secret, fans have seen glimpses of the two youngsters when the Chiefs have won the Super Bowl over the years. After the team’s victory in 2020, Harrison’s son James joined him on the field, while his daughter, whose name and birthday are unknown, took part in the festivities in 2023.

Their boy James Augustine Butker was born in January 2019.

Although the couple never made their daughter’s birth public, the young child was present to see Harrison’s second Super Bowl victory with her older brother.

Isabelle revealed, in an interview with EWTN, a cable network that carries content with a Catholic tone, I finally, I had a moment one day when I was asking God, you know, ‘OK, I need you to show me, you know, what is right. What is the right path? Like, do I go this way or do I go with what Harrison’s doing.”

“It’s weird. In that moment, I actually felt like I was physically being embraced,” Isabelle added, “and we were at mass at the time, and that was kind of the moment when I decided I want to be Catholic.”
