Why did 47-year-old Michael Jordan suit up against his Hornets starters during practice? Know about
The competitive spirit within Michael Jordan was like a volcano. It was on constant display during his insane career with the Chicago Bulls during the 80s and 90s. However, even though his playing days are done for, his competitive nature still lurks around even while being an owner of a team.
Michael Jordan purchased the Charlotte Hornets (then Bobcats) in 2010. He was in his late 40s at that time, but he still wrecked an entire squad of young players. Former NBA player Stephen Jackson recalled when MJ suited up with the Hornets’ bench players and beat their starters during a practice scrimmage.
Jackson’s side of the story claimed that Mike was livid that the Hornets were not performing well at all. He was so frustrated by their lack of consistency that he decided to join the second team during practice and teach his best players a lesson. Jackson claimed he did exactly that. A 47-year-old Jordan embarrassed the young Hornets.
Stephen also mentioned that Michael Jordan rubbed his success in their faces. Mike was an exceptional athlete and is considered the greatest one of all time. He was the definition of an elite basketball player through three different decades and some claimed he simply knew every skill in the book. However, this wasn’t the only time he let loose on his employees.

Former All-Star Hornets guard gets challenged by Michael Jordan
There was another instance when Michael Jordan allegedly tried to battle former All-Star Kemba Walker, when he was with the Hornets over a decade ago. Former player Troy Daniels also narrated his experience playing for Michael Jordan. Even though he tried to pull another stunt on his players, Daniels claimed that fatherhood had the upper hand.
Daniels said that the competitive mentality of the GOAT existed regardless of his physical situation. Nevertheless, Michael Jordan meant serious business. He did not like losing and that is what helped him become who he is. Several of his peers did not like his attitude. Mike did not care and he was only fitted on winning.
